About Black Dog

Ten years of Wakefield’s fades.

One chair in 2014, two shops today, and the same idea running through both — take the time every head deserves, and the rest looks after itself.

The story

From a one-man shop to two.

Andy opened Black Dog on his own — an empty room, one chair and an arcade machine in the corner he never did get working.

Ten years on it’s a proper crew, a second shop over in Ossett, and thousands of lads who won’t sit in anyone else’s chair. Nothing flash changed the game — just consistency, a good chat and cuts that grow out as well as they go on.

That’s still the whole plan. Book in once, find your barber, and Black Dog becomes the every-few-weeks thing you actually look forward to.

Best barber in Wakefield. Bar none. Andy is the man.

The barbers

Andy, Brandon & Cam.

Three barbers, three chairs, one standard — pick whoever suits, or whoever’s free.

Andy runs the place and has done since day one — skin fades, restyles and the longer scissor work. He’s the "Andy is the man" you’ll spot all over the reviews.

Brandon is the detail man — tidy skin fades and beard work people travel for, and the fastest way to a "found my go-to barber" review.

Cam keeps it sharp and friendly, and is brilliant with the little ones — first cuts, school-run trims and everything in between.

Why Black Dog

Ten years. Two shops. Bar none.

The numbers do a fair bit of the talking — the rest you’ll get in the chair.
